11th International ICT Awards Philippines 2017

December 8, 2016, Marco Polo Davao — With the success of the 10th International ICT Awards Philippines last 22 March 2016 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in New Port City, the congregation positively signifies of the importance of such an event in furthering the growth and development of the ICT industry in the country. Next year, 2017, for its 11th year, expect a bigger gathering of the country’s top ICT business entities under one roof to celebrate success for the world to see.

As Maria Rowena Gempesaw, Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CanCham for brevity) Communications & Administration Manager welcomed the attendees, she excitedly explained of next year’s forthcoming events. Citing sustenance of growth of the ICT industry scene in the country as a major game changer, Gempesaw emphasized that the annual awarding is not only for the company itself but more so, to motivate and inspire employees, and everyone else, to support the fast-growing ICT industry in the Philippines.

Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines President Julian Payne stressed that 2017’s event is cored upon “recognizing the best companies and their teams and not individuals and or personalities”. She added, “The annual International ICT Awards Philippines aims to encourage the participation of small, as well as large, established companies”.

For CanCham Philippines President Julian Payne, “The growth of the ICT industry in the Philippines during the last decade has been spectacular. The same has been a leading contributor to the recent influx in the Philippine economy that has since generated employment for over a million Filipinos…and counting”.

Ike Amigo, President and CEO IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) expressed his gratitude as being a co-organizer, together with the Chamber, for over the past several years. He said, “The awards recognize and acknowledge the innovation, dedication and impact of companies, their teams and their leaders from one of the most progressive industries in the Philippines today — the IT-BPM industry”.

IBPAP President Ike Amigo, like CanCham Philippines President Julian Payne, emphasized, “The Philippines is now one of the fastest growing industries this nation has produced. Employing more than 1.15 million Filipinos, the Philippines It-BPM industry continues to put the Philippines on the map by providing a unique set of offerings from customer relationship management to technology interventions and service delivery innovations to various geographies all over the world”.

Globe Enterprise Group & IT Enabled Services Senior Advisor Michael Frausing added, “Globe Business supports the ICT Awards and the IT-BPM industry as we see a lot of innovation and opportunities here, and would like to recognize its largest contributors”.
