Clad in the heart of the city is a central park-ish escapade that serves delectable Asian, French and Japanese fusion dishes like no other. The White House is a haven for people who likes to relax and eat. In other words, The White House is the perfect ending to a productive day.
As the newest fine dining restaurant in the heart of the city, their menu is quite extensive but not intimidating. The best thing about their menu? You know what you’ll have! Now, that is something we all want, right?
The place is perfect—especially at night. The lights and the ambiance transports you to a place ofsolitude that relaxes your mind, body and soul without the hassle of airport chaos. The momentyou step in, you are greeted by smiles and a warm welcome. The place is an all in one package that just makes you smile – from inside out.
The gastronomic adventure begun with plates of appetizers — Japanese Style Pizza, Trio of Oysters (I love their Wasabi Oyster Tempura with Balsamic Mayonnaise), Sautéed Seafood Medley with Wasabi Coconut Sauce (steamed Japanese steamed rice rolled in au nori + jumbo scallops = PERFECTION!) and a plate of refreshing Raspberry Vinaigrette Salad.
Main course consisted of Char grilled Tiger Prawns with Kabocha and White Truffle Mashed Potatoes and U.S. Hanging Tender Steak served with pumpkin risoni (smooth and very tasty), konbu marinated buttered seasonal vegetables with red wine sauce. Also, a plate of sweet apple chips on the side. Now,that is perfect!
There will always be room for dessert – or tonight, for four dessert choices. The filling Brioche French Toast (filled with cinnamon cream cheese served with caramelized apples, homemade pecan praline ice cream and cinnamon streusel), the smooth Yamamomo cheesecake (vanilla cheesecake topped with yamamomo and mixed berries compote set on green tea dacquiose and mango caviar), the classic Brazo de Mercedes (filled with traditional custard served with orange caviar and cinnamon crumbs) and the sweet Banoffee Tart (baked chocolate custard in pecan pie crust served with caramelized bananas, dulce de leche and Chantilly cream).
